The story of my first scar
Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:01 pm
The one and only time I had to get stitches was when I was probably around 4 years old. I was watching TV in my parents' bedroom, and during a commercial break I decided that it was absolutely necessary for me to go to my room and get my stuffed animal. While I was in my room I heard the commercial break ending. I wish I remembered which show I was watching, because apparently I NEEDED to get back to the show in time. I ran back into my parents' room and barreled straight into their bed frame, hitting my cheek. I remember my mom had frozen ketchup packets that she kept in the freezer as tiny ice packs. I don't remember going to the hospital to get stitches, but I do remember that when we got home we got rid of that bed frame. The scar from this incident has since healed, but the memory of my childhood clumsiness/love of TV and stuffed animals will stay with me forever.
